About Me

After receiving a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, I went back to school to pursue my medical degree. In 2000 I graduated from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, and completed an internship and internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente in 2007, I was a general internist at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico. I am board certified in internal medicine.

About my practice

I have a strong professional interest in preventive medicine and feel health care needs to be a collaboration between physician and patient. Success depends on good communication and the sharing of information, and I believe patients can best help manage their care by following through with prevention and treatment plans.

How I thrive

I enjoy practicing yoga and staying active when I'm not involved with work and my patients' care. I appreciate the time I get to spend with my family and I enjoy hiking in the outdoors.
