About Me

I was born and raised in Alabama. After college (University of Alabama; Roll Tide!), I came out to Oregon to visit my sister and learn to snowboard. I fell in love with the Northwest and never left. Many years later, I feel like a true Oregonian, with a deep south southern accent.

About my practice

I currently hold an Oregon State Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have worked treating many populations within all levels of addiction medicine, over 15 years now. I continue to learn and be challenged on a daily basis within this profession, which I consider very fulfilling. Becoming an addictions therapist within Kaiser has been a very rewarding experience.

How I thrive

I spend quite a bit of my time away from work digging in the mud to grow food, watching independent movies and documentaries, and experiencing many facets of Portland culture including art, food, and music. I also have the most wonderful, one-eyed, no tail, feline pet companion.
