About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! My name is Dr. Ely Almaleh. I am a clinical optometrist practicing at the Kaiser Permanente Yorba Linda Medical Offices. I am fortunate to have been with Kaiser Permanente for the past 44, coming here directly from the Air Force, where I was also a clinical optometrist.

Biography

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I am of Greek heritage, with both parents born on the island of Rhodes. I have always had a deep interest in science and mathematics, which eventually led me into optometry. My hobbies include traveling, gardening, and going to the gym. I am married to my wife, Nancy, and have two adult sons and a stepdaughter, as well as two grandchildren.

About my practice

I practice general clinical optometry, with a special interest in orthoptics or binocular vision training. I truly enjoy educating my patients about their visual needs, and explaining any ocular conditions they may possess.

How I thrive

I find many ways to stimulate both my mind and body. I enjoy staying abreast of current world and local news, challenging word and mathematic games, and going to the gym at least three times a week. I carefully watch my diet, and try to get at least eight hours of sleep nightly.
