About Me
I was born and raised in Gary, Indiana, and earned my undergraduate degree from Florida A&M University. I completed medical school at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. After completing residency and chief residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center, I began my pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine fellowships at the University of Colorado. I subsequently pursued my MBA in healthcare administration at the University of Colorado Denver Business School and concurrently completed an administrative fellowship in the University of Colorado Office of Diversity and Inclusion in 2016. My ultimate goal is to use all of my skills and experience to ensure health equity for my patients and community. I was honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2018.
About my practice
I respect my patients as partners in maintaining their health. I chose sleep medicine because it allows me the opportunity to have a significant positive effect on the lives of my patients. I listen and seek to understand your questions and concerns, and you can reach me by email, phone or video visit if you have questions but don't need an in-person appointment. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate your care. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for you.
How I thrive
I thrive by being outwardly focused. I'm very active with my community and religious organization.
