About Me

Hi, and welcome to my Web page. I appreciate this chance to introduce myself, and invite you to learn a bit about my philosophical approach to medicine. I hope we can work together as partners in your care. I have practiced at Kaiser Permanente’s Riverside Medical Center since 1996. Our team strives to provide members the best possible individualized care for overall health and wellbeing.

Biography

I was born in South Korea, and immigrated to the United States with my family when I was 10 years old. We settled in the San Fernando Valley in a predominantly Latino community where I absorbed the local culture and language. Growing up, most of my friends were bilingual, and today I am moderately comfortable speaking Spanish. I am also fluent in Korean. I chose to become a doctor because I enjoy helping people. I chose family medicine because I enjoy providing comprehensive care for my patients.

About my practice

My practice philosophy is to treat all my patients with the same care and respect as I would my own family members. My staff and I are dedicated to your total wellbeing. I believe preventive care and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is the best way to stay well, and will reinforce this every opportunity I have with my patients. An important piece of maintaining wellness is to find things that we enjoy doing and that are relaxing to us.

How I thrive

I like all types of sports – golf, tennis, basketball, and skiing, and love talking about sports with my patients. I have been married since 1991, and have two boys. I enjoy playing with my kids, and going to the movies with my family. It is important to enjoy life, and I believe good health is key to living life to the fullest.
