About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! My nickname is Max. I am an emergency physician at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center, and have worked here since 2003. It is my sincere hope that you may never need my services. But if you do, our entire Emergency Department is ready to take excellent care of you.

Biography

My parents are originally from Taiwan but moved to Brazil, where I was born. We moved to California when I was 11 years old. I went to college at Harvard University and graduate school at Caltech before deciding that I wanted to become a doctor. Emergency medicine appealed to me because it gives me an opportunity to help people who need immediate medical help, and to save lives. In my time off I like to read, travel, and cook as well as spend time with my wife and my daughter.

About my practice

The best medicine is preventive medicine and you should make every effort to see your regular doctor to stay healthy. However, if you have a medical emergency, we are here to help you get the care you need.

How I thrive

I think it is important to lead a balanced life. Spending time with my family and friends is important, and I love playing with my daughter. I love traveling and learning new things. I am also an active volunteer at church.
