About Me

I am a second-generation Colorado native. Why would I live anywhere else? I am married with 2 grown children and 4 grandkids. I am so lucky to be married to my best friend for more than 40 years. I have enjoyed more than 30 years as a nurse practitioner and lactation consultant with the Perinatal Hospital and Home Care department. I love helping new families successfully transition to life with a new baby.

About my practice

The perinatal period is such an exciting time in a women’s life. I provide care for new moms and babies in the hospital setting and in the comfort of their own home. I am fortunate to provide care that encompasses mom, baby, and other family members. I appreciate the value of providing this deeply focused care as a transition between the hospital and home, allowing families to be together in their home sooner. I am an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and specialize in lactation issues. I have a deep interest in helping mothers to be successful when breastfeeding if that is what they chose to do. I love meeting my patients on their level. I am an excellent listener and work hard to alleviate any fears or doubts you may have as you become a parent.

How I thrive

I love spending time with my family whether that be in the mountains, at family dinners, or traveling. I relax by quilting and knitting. I love to read and listen to audio books while traveling between members’ homes. I am active in my church and a philanthropic women’s organization.
