About Me

I was born in Leadville, Colorado, and raised in Minturn, Colorado. I attended University of Colorado for college and University of Colorado School of Medicine for medical school. My surgical residency was also at the University of Colorado.

About my practice

As a general surgeon, I believe in explaining to patients the process of their disease, the treatment and follow-up care in a manner that is understandable. It is important for you to understand why this happened, what options you have and what your recovery process will entail. I listen and seek to understand your questions and concerns. Electronic medical records help me to see the big picture of your health, so I can make good use of our time together and answer your questions. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so you aren’t spending extra time or money to get the care you deserve. We work as a team to provide care before, during and after the surgical procedure.

How I thrive

I’ve enjoyed watching our children grow and thrive. We like spending time up in the mountains and seeing family. We are involved in our local school functions and events. We enjoy taking family trips to new destinations each year. Spending time hiking in the mountains is quite therapeutic.
