About Me

Hi! My name is Doctor Paul Rabin, and I'd like to welcome you to the department of ophthalmology at Bellflower. I've been an ophthalmologist here for 30 years, and I have had the pleasure of treating generations of families here. My focus and passion is the health of my patients.

Biography

As a child growing up in the Northeast, I was fascinated with the ophthalmologist's examination. A curious boy, I often thought about things, wondering, for example, what would happen if they didn't have surgeries that saved people's eyesight. And even as a young child, I wanted to help others and that desire and my wish to work with people coalesced into the dream of becoming an ophthalmologist when I was in elementary school. I feel blessed that I was able to achieve that dream and practice ophthalmology for my life's work. My care of and relationship with my patients is of paramount importance.

About my practice

My patient's health and welfare is the primary focus of my practice. From infancy to seniority, I follow and care for my patients, through tear duct problems and pink eye, to hyphema from Little League practice, to infections from contact lens use due to overwear, makeup, or poor hygiene, to dry eyes, glaucoma, and cataracts. Working together with the support team, we all contribute to giving the best treatment to our patients so they can grow, live, learn, and thrive throughout their lives.

How I thrive

When I am not at Kaiser Permanente, my life is centered on my family. We pray and play together. We also enjoy walks on the beach and an occasional hike. Another favorite activity is music. Between piano, voice, cello, flute, and guitar, we have our own little improv group going!
