Nothing is more important than the health of you and your baby. Call us anytime you feel like something isn’t right.
Between week 4 and 23, call us right away if you have any of these symptoms:
- Any vaginal bleeding
- Belly or pelvic pain, other than mild cramping
- Fever of 100.4 degrees or higher
- Painful or less frequent urination, or dark-colored urine
- Nausea or vomiting that lasts longer than 24 hours or is worse than it was earlier in your pregnancy
- Feeling like you might faint or pass out
- Feeling very short of breath or having heart palpitations
- Chest pain
Kaiser Permanente members can speak with a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you call, be ready to give us your:
- Full name
- Kaiser Permanente health or medical record number
- Doctor or clinician’s name
- Expected due date
When to call 911
You or someone else should call 911 or other emergency services immediately if you think you may need emergency care. For example, call if you:
- Have a seizure
- Pass out (lose consciousness)
- Have severe chest pain
- Are struggling to breathe
