Step-by-Step

Wash your hands.

Check the expiration date.

Take the cap off the inhaler.

Shake the inhaler for 5 seconds.

Press on the top 3 times to prime, if needed.

Spacer with cap removed from its mouthpiece.

Take the cap off the spacer.

Make sure the spacer is clean and empty.

Sit or stand up straight.

Breathe in once.

Breathe out completely.

Press down on the top of the inhaler once.

Breathe in slowly for 5 seconds.

Hold your breath for 10 seconds.

Breathe out slowly.

Wait 1 minute to repeat, if needed. Shake the inhaler again before the second puff.

Put the cap back on the inhaler.

Rinse your mouth out.
