Mii A. Hawkins, MD
I speak: English, French
My gender: Female
Where I practice
I was born at Kaiser Permanente’s original Ala Moana Medical Center which was relocated to Moanalua in 1985 and raised in Kailua on the Windward side of Oahu. As a child I was captivated by stories about kahuna (Hawaiian healers), their many gifts and very strong sense of community. The powerful tales of these healers who were connected to the land and the people they served clearly influenced my decision to pursue a career in medicine.
About my practice
As a family medicine physician, I enjoy working with members of all ages and treating a wide range of medical issues. I am also fortunate to have access to incredible specialists when needed within the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. I believe in treating my patients with the utmost respect and I love learning more about their personal lives - including their work, their families and their passions. I am always thrilled when I get to work with patients who take stock in their own health and are extra motivated to get well and stay healthy.
How I thrive
I stay fit by walking on the beach, dancing hula and getting lots of aerobic exercise. I love to bake and I spend as much time as possible with family and friends.
