Kaiser Permanente provider
English, Cantonese, Mandarin
My gender: Female
I'm accepting new patients.
I was born in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to the U.S. in 1975. My family and I decided to settle in Honolulu, Hawaii where we began our new lives. My parents made a lot of sacrifices to start afresh in a foreign country while building a solid foundation for their children and instilling in me a sense of hard work, integrity and perseverance. I now share those values with my husband and daughter and son.
For as long as I can recall, I have always wanted to be a pediatrician because I love working with people and giving back to the community. I credit this to the wonderful health care I received growing up, from my own loving and charismatic pediatrician in Vietnam to my physician here in Hawaii. My love of science and fascination with the beautifully complex human body was inspired by these caring doctors with whom I had nothing but positive experiences. My philosophy of care is prevention. I am all about keeping kids healthy and strong in both body and spirit. I love getting to know my patients, seeing them grow and being there for them through the different stages of life, which keeps my work fresh and fun! I also enjoy working with the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group because I love the support I get to practice medicine and really focus on my patients. I am also a strong advocate of prevention and immunizations.
On my days off you will find me swimming, relaxing at the beach, reading, cooking and enjoying good meals with family and friends. I love to travel pretty much anywhere, and explore the beauty beyond the beaches of Hawaii. Most recently my family and I visited the national parks, and one day we hope to take a rafting trip!
