To save on annual utility costs, identify potentially life-threatening safety issues, to stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Read on for eligibility and how to apply. You may already be eligible if you receive LEAP, Colorado Works (TANF), SNAP, Aid to the Needy Disabled, Old Age Pension or Supplemental Social Security Income (SSI). Weatherization is free for qualifying low-income households in either Arapahoe or Adams Counties.
 

It is a professional audit of your home to determine what energy-conserving updates or installations will keep you cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter and lower your utility bills.

Our Emergency Repair Program focuses on urgent home repairs for our clients, including repairing or replacing furnaces and hot water heaters that have stopped working.
 

Our program stands apart due to our quick response – providing significant and urgent solutions most often within 48 hours. Restoring heat (through furnace repair and replacement) and water (repairing and replacing water heaters, major plumbing leaks, and some sewer repairs) are the most significant and dramatic examples of our program. These critical repairs can keep families in their homes, avoiding health department or social service interventions

The Bill Payment Assistance program provides emergency financial assistance with past-due energy bills for income-qualified Colorado residents throughout the year.


You are eligible If:

  • You need help paying your past-due heating and/or lighting bill to an energy provider
  • You haven’t received bill payment assistance from EOC during the current program year which runs from October 1st through September 30th each year
