About me
My passion for medicine began with a deep desire to understand the human body and its ailments. After excelling in a highly competitive entrance examination, I was accepted to a premier medical school in South India. I went on to complete my internal medicine residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York and had the privilege of training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I developed a keen interest in oncology and hematology. These early experiences shaped my commitment to this field.
Following my fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, I entered private practice in South Carolina before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2018. I was drawn to Kaiser Permanente's integrated model of care, where collaboration among physicians and care teams ensures the best possible outcomes for our members and their families.
About my practice
I treat all types of cancer and benign hematologic conditions. My cancer subspecialty focus includes gastrointestinal cancers, breast cancer, head and neck cancers, genitourinary cancers, cutaneous malignancies, lung cancer, as well as certain malignant hematologic disorders like multiple myeloma, lymphoma, chronic leukemia. I strive to stay at the forefront of a constantly evolving field, where new research continues to deliver more effective treatments with improved side-effect profiles, higher cure rates, and better survival. I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each patient receives personalized and coordinated care.
Beyond direct patient care, I remain actively engaged in the broader oncology community. I am a board certified medical oncologist and hematologist and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The professional affiliations allow me to be up-to-date with advancing cancer research and improving care delivery for patients.
I firmly believe that knowledge and faith lean largely upon each other in the practice of medicine. I make every effort to educate my patients about their disease and help them sail through the most difficult times of their cancer journey.
How I thrive
Kaiser Permanente's commitment to physician well-being helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance. I exercise regularly and enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids. My other hobbies include watching Indian films (especially Bollywood and Tollywood), playing table tennis, dancing and listening to music. These activities help me recharge and stay centered, allowing me to bring energy and focus to my work.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
