About me
I am a native of Jackson, Miss. where I experienced first hand the life of an Ob/Gyn physician by shadowing my uncle in high school. I thought his job was so cool! He spent time talking to patients and treating them in the office on some days, other days he went to the operating room where he used his excellent surgical skills to treat problems, and in between, he was running to "catch babies being born." I knew that I had found my calling when I saw the first baby being born and it brought tears to my eyes. What a miracle!
I love every aspect of what I do and have practiced in the Atlanta area since 2002. I have a wonderful husband and two children. My husband and I used to take advantage of the museums, theatre, concerts and great restaurants that Atlanta has to offer. The majority of weekends are now spent with kids' sports and birthday parties! We love the outdoors, so any vacation time that we have is spent with family and usually involves the sun and a beach. We have a close community of friends that we enjoy spending time with by having weekend cookouts and game nights.
About my practice
I grew up with two brothers and my parents pushed us academically and supported us in athletics to be the best that we could. My mother was never disappointed as long as I was giving her my best, which was always 110%. My dad was my number one fan and has been my lifelong coach. I picked up some pretty good coaching skills from him, and I see myself as a coach with our members at times, but more of a health coach, if you will. I enjoy talking to our members about their health, weight loss, minimally invasive surgeries that they can try, as well as proactive ways to prevent STDs and unwanted pregnancies.
I remember my first visit to an Ob/Gyn physician's office, and I, along with my staff, try to make these visits as comfortable as possible. I also enjoy performing laparoscopic hysterectomies, and over the years, and it has become an area of interest for me. I also perform ablation procedures to treat heavy vaginal bleeding while preserving your female organs.
How I thrive
I played basketball through college, and I still try to stay fit. Each weekday, I am up by 5:00 a.m. to workout for about an hour. I enjoy group exercise with weights and music. I also enjoy running. I usually give myself a break on the weekends and we take our kids to the park and church on Sundays.
I also joined a book club, which I thoroughly enjoy. We get together to discuss wonderful books as well as catch each other up on what is going on in our lives.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
