Where I practice
I was born and raised in South India. I always wanted to bring happiness to people around me. My eldest brother, who was a physician, inspired me to attend medical school. After finishing medical school in India, I practiced there for five years before immigrating to the U.S., along with my family. After my residency training, I worked with Grady Clinic and as a faculty member at Morehouse School of Medicine. Both experiences provided me with excellent opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills.
About my practice
I believe in preventive care, and I like my patients to be happy and healthy. I believe it is important to treat the wellness of the mind and body, instead of only treating chronic medical conditions. I am also interested in holistic medicine and the integration of alternative medical practices like Ayurveda, meditation and yoga to traditional modern medicine. I love to serve, and when I am instrumental in alleviating sickness and pain from a patient's life and bringing back their health, I feel happiness and divine presence. My special areas of interest are chronic medical conditions like hypertension and diabetes. I am happy to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente Ambulatory Medicine Department, where I can provide high-quality and affordable health care to our members that I am fortunate to meet and serve.
How I thrive
I like to spend time with my family, which includes my husband and two children. I enjoy hearing them sing, dance and share their stories with me. I also like cooking and listening to classical music. Additionally, I volunteer at my church as a Sunday school teacher.
