Where I practice
Making a difference in people's lives is what brings me to work every morning. Seeing them get past their pain is what keeps me going. I am originally from Bangalore, India, but now call Atlanta my home.
About my practice
After studying medicine in India, I went on to complete my residency in Columbus, Ohio, and then my fellowship at Ohio State University. Prior to joining the Kaiser Permanente Rheumatology Department, I worked for over 12 years in rheumatology. There are many exciting things happening in the field of rheumatology with bench research culminating into practical medicine. This excites me and keeps me on my toes! It is also very fulfilling and challenging. I practice general rheumatology and treat rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis and several autoimmune diseases.
How I thrive
When I am not working, I love to travel, watch movies, go to concerts and sample the exotic cuisines that Atlanta has to offer. I have a son who has given me the joy of motherhood and continues to teach me and make me want to do my best.
Finally, whenever I pause to think why I am doing what I am doing, I remind myself of this: "The physician must be able to tell the antecedents, know the present, and foretell the future - must mediate these things, and have two special objects in view with regard to disease, namely, to do good or to do no harm." - Hippocrates
