Where I practice
I was born and raised in Kansas. A third generation physician, my grandfather was a "horse and buggy doctor" in a tiny Kansas town. My father was a general surgeon, and my two brothers and I all became physicians. After an active family medicine career in Topeka, Kan., including the care of adults, children and obstetrics, my wife and I recently moved to Atlanta to be closer to family. I now practice adult medicine exclusively. I received my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Chicago and my medical doctorate from the University of Kansas Medical Center. My residency was completed at Kansas City's Baptist Medical Center. I am a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
About my practice
Throughout my medical career, I have believed that it is essential that the patient's concerns are respectfully attended to. My goal has always been that the office visit should leave the patient feeling satisfied and that the visit has resulted in good communication and a thoughtful, thorough approach to care.
How I thrive
My interests include spending time with family, fishing, reading, golfing and an occasional game of bridge. Having recently moved to Atlanta, my wife and I anticipate many enjoyable weekend trips, discovering the beautiful South.
