About me
My parents immigrated to this country from Pakistan, and I was born and have lived most of my life in Duluth, Ga. From my Pakistani heritage, I bring a love of traditional qawwali (devotional poetry musically performed), spicy food, flamboyant color, a deep-seated acknowledgement of indebtedness and duty to community, a yearning for the sacred and that internal and external work of a lifetime, recognizing God's signature in everyone and seeking to appreciate and uphold them as we all have something to learn from each other.
From my Georgia heritage, I bring a love for nature - long warm evenings with saccades in full orchestral ensemble and light bugs dancing, a special regard for our eldest and youngest as our best teachers and whose care is a measure of the quality of our society, an irrepressible foot tapping along to 80s rock bands and local rap, an appreciation for tradition but also for revolution and movement where there is betterment for society, and the wonder of holding space for multiple perspectives.
About my practice
I believe in wholistic health, and working with patients on every aspect of their health from physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social. Often we cannot address all categories in one visit, but over the course of walking together on your health journey, I hope to help in every category I am able to or to connect you with resources that will help to those ends.
How I thrive
My favorite pastimes include spending time with family and friends, reading, exploring the outdoors, learning and trying new things. I am a novice cook, a worse painter, an occasionally lucky chess player, and a prone to slipping and tripping hiking partner. I believe one way we tap into the richness of life is by being curious, exploring our own capacities as humans and exploring the universe by always seeking to learn and share knowledge, and acknowledging and meditating on the wonder of it all.
My lens in life is seeking to practice gratitude by counting my blessings and looking for growth, bigger than me wisdom, striving to trust, and doing what is in my power, when faced with hardship.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
