About me
I was born in India, but grew up in Knoxville, Tenn. I am so lucky to have a family who has helped me maintain a strong connection with my cultural background, while growing up in the United States. I have always admired how a doctor can impact a patient's life in so many ways. I feel it is a true privilege to be able to care for people and be a part of their lives. I have a special interest in serving people of all backgrounds. Volunteering in several parts of the world has helped enrich me both as a physician and as a person.
About my practice
I am an internal medicine physician and am happy to be a part of such a wonderful organization and practice. I strive to give excellent care and treat patients with the utmost care and respect they deserve. I feel it is important to focus not only on the acute aspects of patient care, but to also focus on wellness visits. I find wellness visits and annual physicals to be of vital importance to keep people healthy so they can lead happy and productive lives. I am so happy to be able to serve such a diverse group of members locally, as well as members from a variety of countries and cultures. One of my interests includes the field of cross-cultural care, which integrates people of all cultural backgrounds into the practice with thoughtfulness and sensitivity towards the multitude of international backgrounds we all celebrate. I have taught classes and been a facilitator in workshops in the field, as I feel it is an important part of any clinical practice. I also have an interest in integrative medicine. I feel that the field of complementary and alternative medicine is an important part of one's health care practice, and I embrace the mind-body aspects of care.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I love spending time with my daughter. I volunteer through various activities with her school and enjoy being a part of her extracurricular activities. Travel is something I have always loved to do. Combining my love of travel with my love of medicine has led me to do volunteer work in several countries, which has helped enrich my life in so many ways. At the end of a busy week, I look forward to getting some exercise through hip-hop dance classes.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
