About me
I was born in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and lived in India and England before moving to the U.S. I have wanted to work in the health field for as long as I can remember but decided to apply to medical school after my mother and grandmother passed away when I was a teenager. Despite the long hours and lengthy training, I cannot think of a more rewarding career.
I completed my residency at Atlanta Medical Center, where I also met my husband. We moved to Alpharetta a few years ago and were blessed with a beautiful daughter and a son. I worked in a private clinic, and then in a rehab and long-term care facility, before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2017.
About my practice
I am family medicine trained and work with a group of caring, dedicated, and friendly doctors, nurses and administrative staff. I enjoy getting to know our members and building a warm, caring, trusting relationship with them, with the aim of improving their overall physical and mental health. I am passionate about preventive medicine, nutrition, exercise and empowering patients to take control of their health. I am grateful for every patient encounter and tend to learn something from each patient I have the pleasure of meeting.
How I thrive
Having children has introduced me to a whole new dimension of happiness. Having them keeps me motivated to try and stay fit and healthy. Nothing beats the joy I get from spending time with my family. We love swimming, playing tennis and cycling. I enjoy cross-fit training three times a week as it pushes me to try and do my personal best physically and mentally in a friendly group environment. Coming from a family of big eaters, I absolutely love good food. Dining with close friends and family, traveling, and listening to music are some of my greatest pleasures. I have close family in England and Asia and like to travel often to see my family and friends.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
