Kaiser Permanente medical center practitioner
My gender: Male
Yes, I'm accepting new patients.
Believe it or not, I am a Georgia native, born and raised in Savannah. I have always been interested in science and math, partially due to the influence of my mother, who was a high school biology teacher. My initial interest in medicine started in high school and continued through my college years when I participated in the Summer Educational Enrichment Program at the Medical College of Georgia. I even met two of my current colleagues at the same program! I completed my undergraduate degree at Duke University, followed by medical school at Morehouse School of Medicine and my residency through Emory University. My wife is a pediatrician, and we have one daughter, who also has a passion for the sciences.
My specialty is internal medicine and I practice in the Kaiser Permanente Ambulatory Medicine Department. I like to think that I treat our members the same way that I would like my family to be treated. I am a full-time physician, and I treat patients from 18 years of age to over 90 years of age. I have been working at our Cumberland Medical Center since 1991 and some of my patients have been here just as long. My practice covers the full scope of internal medicine and that is what keeps it interesting.
I enjoy spending time with my family. I am a "soccer dad" and have come to understand the game of soccer by following my daughter's team. I love sports, especially basketball, having played in high school. For relaxation, I like to fish with my friends and family. Taking trips or just spending time with my family is what makes me thrive.
