About me

I am an Atlanta native, by way of New Jersey and Port-au-Prince, Haiti (where I was born). I attended Spelman College, where I received my bachelor's in psychology pre-medicine then pursued a master's degree in mental health counseling and behavioral medicine. I completed my medical degree at Central Michigan University College of Medicine and my residency training at Emory Family Medicine Program in Atlanta. I am a momma to a beautiful daughter, wife to an amazing husband, sister to two phenomenal doctors in medicine and public health, daughter to my wonderfully supportive parents, friend to many, and humble servant to this community that raised me.

About my practice

My clinical specialties include: women's health, postpartum health, breastfeeding medicine, mental health, patient education, and advocacy. As a Haitian and Atlanta native, my personal and professional experiences play a huge role in how I practice medicine. Growing up, I witnessed the impact of health care advocacy through individuals, organizations, and hospital systems that would reach out to impoverished communities, such as my own, offering services and resources. I have also seen the value of their service when my cousin was diagnosed with autism and my aunt did not know which resources to access in order to care for her.

These experiences drive my passion to provide patients with comprehensive information, support, and resources to take an active role in their health and make healthy choices. Every member that walks into our clinic has a unique story and experiences that surround his or her condition, making a patient's background, belief systems, and values an essential part of their care. My goal is to eliminate health disparities and create a safe space by being intentional about understanding barriers that may hinder access to care. I also want to be a patient advocate and build long-lasting relationships.

How I thrive

I thrive by spending time with my loved ones, my friends, and my worship community. I wear many hats and I enjoy a variety of things. I am very involved in my church and enjoy organizing health fairs, food and clothing drives, and back to school events. I also enjoy leading the young women's group at my church. Outside of that, my favorite things to do include hanging out with my daughter, cooking and baking (I make an excellent cheesecake), writing poetry, singing, binge watching murder mysteries and reality dating shows, traveling with my husband, planning/coordinating weddings, and self-care.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.

Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process.
