About me
I was born in a vibrant city of Multan, also known as "City of Shrines and Saints" in Pakistan. I moved to the U.S. when I was a teenager and went to school in Saint Louis, Missouri. I wanted to become a physician to serve people in need. My interest in medicine stems from my belief that all individuals deserve the same chance towards life. And while life may not be fair most of the time, I am going to try to make it fair in my corner of the world.
I trained in family medicine at the Wright Center in Pennsylvania and completed my fellowship training in geriatrics at Emory University in Atlanta.
About my practice
Our department in Kaiser Permanente is unique as it provides medical care to acute care as well as chronic conditions, including minor outpatient procedures, preventive care, women's health and many more. I like to promote health and healing that addresses body, mind, spirit, family and community. I offer the medical care that is responsive to people's unique cultural characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, language, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation and physical ability. I ensure that all my patients receive evidence-based, patient-centered, high-quality care.
There is a great camaraderie at Kaiser Permanente among all the physicians and clinicians, including specialists to provide an extraordinary coordination of care to all the members. All the staff members work together in an efficient manner to make a patient's experience feel like home. It is indeed a great honor and privilege to serve our amazing and diverse members at Kaiser Permanente.
How I thrive
I believe exercise is a great tool to thrive. Exercise boosts our energy level and provides fuel to the mind and body. You might find me working out at your neighborhood gym! I am all about outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and trying new restaurants and recipes.
I also volunteer as a mentor in a program at Emory University, where I help guide medical students and residents to choose primary care as their practice as there is a huge shortage in the U.S., especially in Georgia.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process.
