About me
I grew up in Texas, the fourth of six children, now with twenty nieces and nephews. I think coming from a large family has really helped shaped me into the man I am today. After completing medical school and residency in Houston, I moved to Atlanta and have been here since. Deciding to leave Texas was a tough decision, but one I am happy I made. I met my husband here in Atlanta, and we are now proud fathers to our daughter and fraternal twins. Our love of travel has always dominated our personal life. While our travel agenda did take a hit to some degree with the birth of our kids, our first daughter had been on many round trip flights by the time she was one-year-old, with two trips to Europe and two to the Caribbean over that time. We continue to love to travel as a family to this day.
About my practice
As a general ENT, I have enjoyed maintaining my skills in all areas of head and neck surgery with both adult and pediatric patients. I have been drawn to dealing with complex sinus problems, as this region of the country is notorious for it. But I enjoy continuing to treat patients with all types of ENT problems. Having worked in a single specialty practice the first thirteen years of my career, I really appreciate the advantage Kaiser Permanente offers with its centralized electronic records that keep me informed about all aspects of our members' health.
How I thrive
I thrive by maintaining a balance between a busy family life and my personal health through exercise. It is not always easy to get to the gym, but I make a concerted effort to stay fit both for myself and for my family. As an avid hiker, our family takes advantage of the north Georgia mountains as much as we can. My best hike of all time though was probably climbing the tallest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, with some of my family.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
