About me
I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, S.D. Since graduating from high school, I have lived in Nebraska, Southern California, South Dakota, Maryland, Georgia and New York. My husband and I have finally settled back in Atlanta, and we feel right at home.
I cannot recall a time I did not want to be a physician, and I feel grateful each day that I am fortunate enough to be practicing medicine. My husband and I are blessed to be the parents of three children who keep us on our toes! Together we enjoy drawing, building forts, reading stories, singing and doing just about anything outdoors. Finding the right balance of work and family is a joyful and imperfect struggle I welcome each day. Thankfully, I have a supportive spouse who enjoys the challenge as much as I do!
About my practice
I am board certified in neurology and sleep medicine. I treat patients with sleep disorders, headache, epilepsy, stroke, dementia, multiple sclerosis and movement disorders, just to name a few.
How I thrive
Being healthy and strong is such a gift. I try to take care of myself and my family by eating well and living an active lifestyle. My hobbies include running and yoga, which give me balance. I have also found that sometimes laughter really is the best medicine.
My husband and I love to go for walks with our kids. Our days end with reading, relaxation and reflection. Of course, we could not live life to the fullest without a good night's sleep!
Upon learning I was pregnant with my second child, one of my patients told me, "The days are long, but the years are short." My family and I try to appreciate every moment together and keep that perspective in mind.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
