About me
I have been progressively moving my way south my whole life. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I spent a good portion of my childhood in Richmond, Va. surrounded by its rich history, arts and culture. I completed my bachelor's degree at James Madison University, where I received a degree in biology and creative writing (I still aspire to be like Dr. William Carlos Williams!). I then headed to Washington D.C., a city I made my home for many years. After I completed my medical degree at George Washington University, I went on to complete the pediatric primary care residency tract at Children's National Medical Center.
Becoming a doctor was the culmination of a lifelong dream. During my medical school career, I was naturally drawn to pediatrics because of the deep personal relationships it creates for me as a provider.
About my practice
From personal experience with my children, I know that parenting does not come with a handbook, and I view my role as pediatrician to be a guide. I so enjoy getting to grow and develop meaningful relationships with my patients and their families over time.
I have a particular interest in children who have graduated from the NICU and who have complex medical needs. As an English-Spanish bilingual physician, working with diverse families brings vibrancy and depth to my practice.
How I thrive
I live with my husband, who is also a doctor, and our two children. As a foodie, you can often find me in my kitchen or in my garden. Having moved to Atlanta in 2016, I am having so much fun learning about a new "grow zone" for my garden. While cooking (especially if my kids are helping) is lots of fun, baking is my passion. I am always experimenting with new tools and techniques for baking delicious treats.
To work off all the good food I eat, I enjoy camping and hiking. I am also trying to become a golfer, but let's just say my golf game has a long way to go.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process.
