About me
I was fortunate to be born and raised in the greatest city on earth: Atlanta! I love the rich history, culture and music of my birthplace and know it will forever be the only place I call home. I am a proud graduate of Cornell University, where I obtained a bachelor's degree in history and Africana studies. After college, I entered the field of education and quickly felt a calling to do more to support children and families. My passion for helping others led me to the University of Chicago, where I received a master's degree in social work with an emphasis in family systems and trauma.
About my practice
My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and includes both group and individual psychotherapy with adults. I have years of experience working with survivors of trauma with a particular interest in working with women and femme-identified individuals. I also enjoy working with individuals who are navigating relationship problems and desire to understand how they can better honor themselves while developing healthier connections with the people in their lives. I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach which includes psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, internal family systems, and mindfulness techniques. My belief is that you are the expert of your experience, and my role is to be a guide who offers both support and challenge on your journey. In our work together, I hope to help you remember what you already know deep inside: how to heal yourself.
How I thrive
I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes by Maya Angelou which says, "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." Truer words were never spoken! I thrive through my supportive relationships with loved ones, reading, writing, yoga, movies, personal development and spiritual practices.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
