About me
I have lived in both Illinois and Georgia. I decided to become a midwife because I have a passion for women's health, holistic care and preventive medicine. I have worked in women's health since 1998 in a variety of areas including labor and delivery, high-risk pregnancy units, alternative birthing centers and postpartum. I have had the privilege to work as a certified nurse-midwife since 2000, and I have also held a faculty position at Loyola University in Chicago. As an adjunct to midwifery, I have presented for the American Academy of Pediatrics as a leader in breastfeeding education for physicians and other health care providers.I also have a great supportive family of a husband, three children and a dog.
About my practice
I am a full-scope midwife. I take care of women across the life span, from adolescence to mature adult, with my expertise in the area of gynecology and obstetrics. I approach each patient as an individual with their own special needs and goals for their health care. I feel nutrition, exercise and emotional health have a great impact on the health of individuals. Many chronic medical conditions can be treated or improved by making lifestyle modifications. I believe in an integrative approach to health care that includes complementary therapies.I have the great pleasure of taking care of our members in the office setting and also in the hospital. When I am in the hospital, I take care of laboring patients and deliver their babies. It is incredibly rewarding to care for amazing women and families during this special time in their lives.
How I thrive
Spending time playing with my family is my favorite thing to do away from my job. Soccer, swimming, walking, playing tag, skating, playing catch and fishing are just a few things we do together.I enjoy tennis, gardening, boating, hiking, biking, reading, trying new restaurants, traveling and spending time with friends. I also take opportunities to volunteer at my children's school and in their extracurricular activities.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
