Where I practice
I grew up in a small town in Georgia where I learned early on that maintaining a close relationship with family and friends is essential to my success and survival. I am the third of five children. After one of my sisters had an allergic reaction to eating nuts one Christmas, followed years later by my one-month-old brother dying of a congenital heart defect, my interest in pursuing a career in medicine was born. Children have always held a special place in my heart, so choosing pediatrics as my career choice was really a no-brainer. After completing my residency training in pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia, my husband and I moved to the Atlanta area.
About my practice
Before joining Kaiser Permanente at the end of 2012, I was in private practice in the Atlanta area for over 15 years. I truly consider it a privilege to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente family. As a pediatrician, I count it as a blessing to see my patients grow from infancy to young adulthood. I particularly enjoy helping new parents navigate through those initial months of parenthood, as well as equipping all parents with the knowledge they need in order to make informed decisions regarding the care of their children at any stage of their development. It is my belief that all children deserve the right to thrive, prosper and receive the best medical care available.
How I thrive
In order for me to thrive, I enjoy attending services at my church, singing, reading, cooking healthy meals and spending time with my family and friends.
