Jared M. Kiddoe, MD
I speak: English
My gender: Male
Where I practice
I grew up on the island of Jamaica to a mother who was a family medicine physician and a father who worked in the ministry. After completing my bachelor's degree in biochemistry in Texas, I became a Duke Blue Devil! I completed my medical training in 2008 at Duke. I then proceeded to complete my residency in general psychiatry in 2011 and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry in 2013 at Duke as well. While there, I also completed a master's degree in clinical psychology. I am married and have two children in school locally.
About my practice
I am trained to treat ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders and eating disorders. I also treat many patients with autism, in addition to treating a wide array of substance use disorders. I also integrate psychotherapeutic modalities such as parent training, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness into my medication treatment practice. Additionally, I have received some training in functional (holistic) medicine.
How I thrive
I try to exercise as much as I can and I watch a lot of movies (I am very much into popular culture!). However, my active involvement at church is what gives me the greatest rejuvenation of mind and spirit.
