About me
My wife and I arrived in Georgia in 1999 as climatologic refugees attempting to escape February in Montreal. Since then, my love of the heat, humidity and barbecue has only grown! I knew that I wanted to be a pediatrician long before I went to medical school. In the years since then, I have been asked by many medical students who are trying to decide on their own career paths, "Dr. G., why did you choose pediatrics?" My reply has always been that kids are fun and that when they are sick, they want to be well. That makes my job enjoyable and fulfilling.
About my practice
I am a general pediatrician. I provide care for children who need well child care (checkups), as well as those who require care for acute (colds, ear infections, urinary tract infections, etc.) and chronic (asthma, diabetes, etc.) illness. I like to think that my most important skill as a pediatrician is that I am able to walk that fine line between knowing when to take a hands-off approach to let time and parental care cure your child and when to be more aggressive with testing and treatment. Part of the reason for this is that I thrive in taking my knowledge of the art and science of pediatrics and combining it with your knowledge of your child to work towards the best possible outcome.
How I thrive
One reason I enjoy living in Georgia so much is that I am an avid gardener. Here I can get some sort of vegetable to grow outside all year round. I am also a runner (5K to marathon), and there are few days when I cannot go out for a run. Running helps me clear my mind and relax. It is in that state that I do my best thinking, so running provides me a physical and mental workout at the same time.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
