About me
I am a first generation physician from the Birmingham, Ala. metro area. Hard work and determination was instilled in me by my mother, with faith and perseverance as my foundation. After her passing, I made sure I carried her legacy along with me as a basis of how I practice medicine.
I am a graduate of Talladega College and very proud to represent the numerous physicians this college has produced. I went on to obtain my master's degree in biomedical sciences at Barry University, and subsequently my DO degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island, N.Y. My wife and two kids are my "why," and I have enjoyed every moment of it.
About my practice
Empathy played a major role in my continued path of medicine as I vowed to make sure that I approach each individual patient with the respect and partnership of achieving the goal of education and knowledge of illnesses. During my educational track, I have found that many preventable illnesses have manifested later as much larger life-threatening issues. My foundation as an osteopathic physician has kept me grounded in not falling bait to the obvious diagnosis as there could always be a surrounding underlying cause of a patient's illness. Therefore, I treat each member with the utmost care and diligence.
How I thrive
As I progress through my medical career, I am finding that my own health is just as important, therefore, exercising and diet modifications have been a consistent mainstay in my household. Maintaining my physical and mental health is paramount in taking care of my patients. With that being said, my family and I like to vacation, which is just as important to maintaining my daily viability. It may be cliché, but I believe in, "Work hard, play harder."

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
