Kaiser Permanente medical center practitioner
My gender: Male
Yes, I'm accepting new patients.
A medical career was more of a family decision, rather than my personal choice of law, when I went to medical school in the Philippines. However, after having been a physician for over two decades, I cannot imagine doing anything else. I consider it a privilege and a pleasure to be to be a health care professional.
Working at Kaiser Permanente is unique compared to my previous career in private practices and public health, since I am not only a provider, but also a Kaiser Permanente member. My clinical decision making is largely influenced by looking at both perspectives. One of the most important things I have learned as a parent is that I have developed more empathy for the parents of the members under my care.
My exercise routine consists mainly of chasing after my preschool-age son up, down and around the house, running around in those indoor inflatable play gyms for kids (I carry 3 cards!) and enduring long lines for theme park rides. I do find these activities to be extremely stress relieving.
