About me
I am a board-certified family practice physician that comes from a family of physicians. My father was a family practice doctor, along with two of my brothers. Our dream was to open a "family" practice facility. Instead, the cold winters in Michigan drove me to Georgia, where I have lived for over 20 years.
About my practice
I am a DO, which is a doctor of osteopathic medicine. This means that my treatment philosophy includes both a holistic and a traditional approach. I like people to participate and understand their care. For example, if a patient has a headache, I do not simply prescribe a pill and ask them to contact me if the symptoms persist. Instead, I explain what lifestyle changes may be contributing factors, have them keep a headache diary and prescribe medication. My goal is for the patient to understand what is triggering the headaches, and therefore, less medication (or maybe no medication) will be needed in the long-term.
How I thrive
I thrive through my family and faith. My goal is to enjoy my life and realize that each day is a blessing. I attempt to exercise three times each week, although I am not always successful. I am a "people person," and I thrive through my interactions with our members. I also enjoy various activities such as golfing, fishing, horseback riding and reading.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process.
