About me
I am an Atlanta native and have lived here most of my life, with the exceptions of time spent in other cities for optometry school and college. Although I have fond memories of Memphis, Tenn., where I attended optometry school, Atlanta beckoned me home after graduation in 2013. I am very glad I returned home, because otherwise I would not have met my husband or found such a unique and interesting setting in which to practice optometry.
About my practice
Of all our senses, vision is probably the one we value the most. I consider it a privilege to care for my patients' eyesight and eye health. It is a pleasure to provide that care in an organization that offers some of the newest and best technology currently available.
Patient education is a key part of my practice philosophy. I believe that it is very important for our members to understand their health conditions so that they can be empowered to take charge of their own health. Knowledge is power, after all!
I am trained to identify and manage a variety of eye conditions, including refractive error, infections, inflammation, dry eye syndrome, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. I also provide post-operative care to patients who have recently had cataract surgery. I enjoy having such variety in my work, as it keeps things interesting.
How I thrive
I thrive by maintaining a balance of activities that nurture my mind, body and spirit. My work stimulates my mind. I care for my body by practicing martial arts several days per week; I have been studying karate for several years and am getting close to earning my black belt. My spirit I nourish with meditation, prayer and involvement in my local church.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process.
