About me
My Ghanaian father and Scottish-Canadian mother met in Edmonton, Alberta when my Dad received a scholarship to study medicine there. I was raised in Toronto, Canada, where my father was an Ob/Gyn for almost 40 years and helped ignite the passion I have for this field from an early age.
I moved to the U.S. to attend medical school at University of Pennsylvania before relocating to South Florida in 2002, where I was medical director of a private practice. During my 16 years in Florida, I specialized in minimally invasive surgery performing the first robotic assisted total laparoscopic hysterectomy in Palm Beach County in 2007 and serving as the Director of Gynecologic Robotic Surgery at West Boca Medical. In the community, I volunteered my time serving on numerous boards for such community organizations as the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, American Heart Association and Women in Distress.
My proudest moment occurred in March 2015, when I summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. I was the team physician of the Freedom Challenge, a global organization dedicated to ending human trafficking. Our team of 20 individuals from six countries raised over one million dollars!
About my practice
"Exceptional care for women, by women," is my practice philosophy. I also have a commitment to "do unto others as I would have done unto me." I am continuing to advocate for and provide minimally invasive surgical options as a seasoned specialist in robotic-assisted, single-incision hysterectomies and myomectomies for the appropriate surgical candidates.
I believe in educating the women I am privileged to care for and providing all options available for their best medical management.
How I thrive
Outside of the office, I am first and foremost a single mom who adores and appreciates any time I can get with my son. I love to read, travel the globe, hike, learn new things and spend time outside. I am an avid triathlete and have competed in over 30 triathlons since my first season in 2010. I thrive by focusing on my faith, family and fitness! I am also meticulous with my sleep habits.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
