Pharmacy Services

For Kaiser Permanente Washington members

Transfer your prescription to Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser Permanente members can easily transfer prescriptions to the Kaiser Permanente mail-order pharmacy or a Kaiser Permanente retail pharmacy. Once your prescriptions are in our system, mail-order prescriptions usually arrive at your home within 1 to 3 days.

Transfer your prescriptions using the option that’s most convenient for you:

  • Online: Sign in to your account via kp.org, click the “Medications” drop-down, and then click “Transfer Prescriptions.” Don’t have an account? Sign up now at kp.org/register.
  • Mobile app: Sign in to your account via the Kaiser Permanente Washington mobile app, click “Medications,” and then click “Transfer a Prescription.”
  • Phone: Call toll-free 1-877-939-8778 (TTY 711).

You’ll need:1

  • Name and phone number of your current pharmacy
  • Prescription number, name, strength, and instructions
  • Name and phone number of the doctor who prescribed the medication

It can take 5 to 7 days to complete the transfer process while we work with your current pharmacy. If you can’t wait that long, please have your doctor send a new prescription for your medication directly to Kaiser Permanente mail-order pharmacy or a Kaiser Permanente retail pharmacy.

Once you’ve transferred your prescriptions, you can order refills, chat with a pharmacist, and more through your account on kp.org or the Kaiser Permanente Washington mobile app.

1If you have the prescription bottle, you may upload a picture with the information during this process.
