Your baby weighs around 6 pounds, is about 18 inches long and is around the size of romaine lettuce. As you come into the home stretch, your baby's:

  • Lungs will finish their development during this final month.
  • Bones of the head are firm but flexible enough to pass through the birth canal.
  • Skin is smooth because baby fat is filling in wrinkles.
  • Soft, fine and downy hair (lanugo) is almost gone, except for some on the back and shoulders.

Your baby is getting ready to make their appearance in the world!
