Choose a personal physician to be your partner in care
Few things are as important as finding the right doctor. That’s why we’ve made it easy for new members to choose their doctors online.
Do your research
The journey to your best health begins at kp.org/doctor, where you can find information on hundreds of our primary care doctors.
On their personal webpages, our physicians offer details about:
- Their medical training
- Board certifications
- Preferred approaches to care
- Favorite health tips
- And more
Whether you prefer someone specializing in internal medicine, family practice, or pediatrics (for members under 18), you’ll be able to choose from a wide range of doctors accepting new patients.
And you can feel good knowing that you’re choosing the right doctor. Not just because Permanente doctors are hired through a highly selective process, but because you will know more than just a name.
If you need assistance, or don’t have internet access when you’re ready to choose, just call your local Member Services. A service specialist will help you make your choice.
Please note: All new members who don’t choose a primary care doctor will receive a courtesy assignment. If you’d rather see someone else for any reason, we encourage you to go ahead and switch to a new doctor.
