Where I practice
I was born and raised in Hawaii and feel fortunate to be able to practice medicine in the community that is my home.
About my practice
I have always enjoyed being around people and spending time with my family and friends. One aspect of family medicine that is really important to me is meeting and getting to know the families that I care for, and working with patients of all ages. I appreciate being a part of the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group and what it offers to me and to my patients. We really do function as a well integrated group of physicians working cooperatively and collaboratively for our patients – we truly act as team and a family. As part of my philosophy of care, I believe in treating my patients as if they are a part of my family as well. By extending the same courtesy to my patients that I would any other member of my family, I know that I am honoring who they are and hope they know that their needs and concerns are truly being heard. When we work together, we can make positive health decisions and choices more efficiently.
How I thrive
To stay healthy in body and mind, I try to find a comfortable balance between the most important parts of my day and life. I make it a point to schedule time each week doing something that adds value to my physical and mental wellness. One of the things I enjoy most is to spend time with my family. There is never a dull moment in our time together and they keep me in check and in balance daily!
