Where I practice
I was born in the Philippines and raised in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois called Park Ridge. I earned my medical degree at the Thomas Jefferson University Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I completed my family medicine residency at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
About my practice
I chose to pursue medicine because I wanted a career that would allow me to help people and make a difference every day. Family medicine is a great fit for me because I enjoy caring for patients in all age groups, from children to adults to the elderly. I was also drawn to the various pathologies (manifestations of a disease or illness) that a family medicine physician encounters. My philosophy is to provide my patients with care that encompasses all aspects of their well-being, not just their medical issues. I consider my patients to be more than a health record or file, and instead see them as someone’s father or someone’s mother. They are true individuals who deserve the highest quality of care possible. Thanks to the bright and energetic Kaiser Permanente staff who treat patients as if they are their own family members, I am able to deliver high-quality care.
How I thrive
I run several times a week to stay in shape. In fact, when I have a weekend off, I run races and celebrate at the end by jumping into the ocean. In my free time, I enjoy snorkeling and hiking with friends.
