About me
I am a board certified general surgeon who specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, bariatrics and diseases of the foregut (esophagus, stomach and small intestine). I completed my residency at New York University (NYU) followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Emory University. Through my training at these prestigious programs, I hope to deliver world-class care for our members. I strongly believe in providing the right surgery for the right patient by combining patient-centered care and evidence-based medicine.
I have also authored over 20 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals to advance the field of surgery and presented my work at multiple national conferences. I strive to form a true partnership with our members by understanding their challenges and providing care that is respectful of individual needs and values.
About my practice
My practice includes common general surgery procedures such as mass excision, hernia repair, gallbladder removal, appendix removal, cancer related surgery and surgery for gastrointestinal diseases. Additionally, I specialize in surgeries of the esophagus, stomach, and small intestine including procedures for difficulty swallowing, reflux and bariatric weight loss. When appropriate, I utilize advanced laparoscopic techniques and robotic surgery to improve post-surgical recovery and minimize scars.
How I thrive
I believe that the mind, body and spirit are all interconnected and equally vital. As a result, well-being can only be achieved if all three components are balanced and taken into consideration. I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising and traveling.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
