Where I practice
I was born and raised in the Newark, N.J. area. I have lived on the East Coast and West Coast before settling in the Atlanta area. Several factors led me to study medicine, and later psychiatry. I have always been in awe of the human body and its capacity to heal itself under optimal circumstances. But soon, I realized the powerful role our emotions and mental health played in our overall health. That realization led me to psychiatry. It is the courage and resilience of the people I am honored to serve that has kept me in the field.
About my practice
I am an adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist in the Behavioral Health Department at Kaiser Permanente. It is my goal to build collaborative relationships with the people under my care. It is important to me that people experience me as respectful, affirming and supportive. I hope to use my training to help educate people on how to best manage their mental health and thrive. I like working as a team to provide high-quality care and resources to ensure success, whether it be at school, home or work.
How I thrive
I thrive by being helpful in stabilizing and launching people towards their goals. I enjoy being a helping hand wherever I go. I take time to volunteer in my community, and it is also my personal goal to carve out time to enjoy nature, enjoy my family and keep fit. These things bring me balance and keep me in a space where I can be of best service to others.
