Where I practice
About me
I grew up in the Midwest and have lived and trained in many parts of the country and around the world. I completed my internal medicine training at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, N.Y. I then practiced medicine in California for over 10 years. I moved to Atlanta for family reasons. I am excited to care for patients in the Atlanta area and focus on outpatient medicine.
I became a doctor because I believe medicine is both a science and a partnership. I care deeply about prevention, long-term health, and helping people live full and active lives.
I am board-certified in internal medicine, obesity Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. I enjoy helping patients improve their health through simple, practical changes that they can maintain over time.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy fitness, travel, and continuing to learn new things.
About my practice
I practice adult internal medicine with a focus on prevention, heart health, and improving quality of life. My goal is to work together with my patients to create care plans that are based on science, realistic, and fit their personal values.
I believe in taking ownership of your health. There are no magic pills or injections that can replace healthy daily habits. Medicine can help, but real and lasting change takes effort and commitment. I want to work with you to become healthier, and that does take work from both of us.
I care deeply about:
Preventing disease and protecting heart health
Diabetes and metabolic health
Healthy weight management
Lifestyle medicine (nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress reduction)
Providing inclusive care for LGBTQ+ patients
I believe in clear communication, shared decision-making, and teaching patients how to understand their health. I work closely with nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, and specialists to provide safe, coordinated care.
My philosophy is simple: small, steady improvements over time lead to better long-term health.
How I thrive
I stay balanced through physical activity, travel, and time outdoors. I enjoy kayaking, scuba diving, strength training, and exploring new places. I am passionate about daily fitness and wellness education, which complements my clinical work in lifestyle and obesity medicine.
Personally, I follow a plant-forward diet with minimal processed foods, exercise daily, stay up-to-date on my annual physicals and recommended vaccines, and prioritize hydration. I believe in taking ownership of my health so I can continue doing the activities I love.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need.
