Where I practice
About me
I was born and raised in Vietnam, where I learned early on the value of resilience, family, and community. At 17, I moved to the United States, navigating a new language, culture, and way of life. Experiencing those challenges firsthand helped me understand how vulnerable it can feel to be in unfamiliar situations, especially in health care settings where trust and communication are so important.
My desire to pursue medicine comes from a deep passion for caring for others, particularly those who feel unheard, uncertain, or overwhelmed. As someone who once sat on the other side of the system, trying to understand and adapt, I strive to approach patients with empathy and patience. I want every patient to feel seen, respected, and supported during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
About my practice
My practice is built on providing compassionate, patient-centered eye care with a focus on education, prevention, and long-term vision health. I believe patients should feel comfortable asking questions and fully understand their eye health, so I take time to listen, explain findings, and create personalized care plans for each individual.
I provide comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages, including diabetic eye exams and screenings for conditions that may affect vision and overall health. I have extensive training in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, as well as anterior and posterior segment diseases, allowing me to detect problems early and provide appropriate treatment and monitoring.
I am especially proud to serve the Vietnamese community in Gwinnett County and strive to provide culturally sensitive care with clear communication for Vietnamese-speaking patients and their families.
I am a member of the Georgia Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association (AOA), and the Vietnamese American Healthcare Professionals Association of Georgia, which helps me stay current with advancements in optometric care and maintain high standards for my patients.
How I thrive
Outside of medicine, I stay active through running marathons, kickboxing, and playing pickleball, activities that challenge my discipline and resilience. I also enjoy snowboarding, which reminds me of the excitement and growth that come with stepping outside of my comfort zone. Whether in athletics or in medicine, I value perseverance, connection, and the opportunity to continuously improve so I can better serve those around me.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
