About me
While I was born and raised on Long Island, N.Y., life and medical training have taken me all over the country, broadening my perspective about how to practice medicine and deliver health care. I attended Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where I met my wife, who is also a physician. I completed my internal medicine residency training at Emory University in Atlanta. I then spent one year as a hospitalist before completing my fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Eleven years after starting my journey in medical school - and after far too many cross country moves - I decided to return to the Atlanta area to settle down with my family and start my career.
About my practice
My specialty is pulmonary and critical care. I see patients in the pulmonary clinic as well as round on the ICU and inpatient pulmonary consult services at our affiliate hospitals. I enjoy working one-on-one with patients to understand their preferences and provide high-quality evidence-based care. I put a high priority on patient communication and helping patients better understand their lung health. While pulmonary medicine can sometimes be complex, what is most important to me when you leave my office is that you are empowered with a clear understanding of what we have discussed and confidence in our ability to work as a team to meet your goals and figure out a plan.
How I thrive
My days always start and end with a long walk in the park with my dog while listening to a podcast. Eating healthy has always been a priority and I love finding and cooking new recipes to enjoy with my family. When I am planning a vacation, I usually think about somewhere with a beach, scenic views, a national park or great food (bonus points for all four!) - but my favorite moments in life have and always will be the simple day-to-day moments of spending time with my family.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
