Kaiser Permanente medical center practitioner
My gender: Male
Yes, I’m accepting new patients. Referral may be required.
I am a native of Tampa, Fla., but have lived most of my adult life in Atlanta. I earned my bachelor's and medical degree at Emory University in Atlanta. I then completed my internship and residency at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill, where I served as chief resident and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. I completed my cardiology fellowship at Emory University, where I also served as the program's chief fellow.
I decided to pursue medicine because I love science and I enjoy people, and I feel truly grateful that I enjoy being a doctor. What I love most about my practice are the relationships with my patients and the close collaboration with colleagues to provide the best cardiovascular care possible.
My clinical interests are in general cardiology, coronary artery disease, valve disease, heart failure and atrial fibrillation. I am also a specialist in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and in advanced cardiac imaging - cardiac CT and MRI.
I am board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and have special certifications in echocardiography and nuclear medicine. I am a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids. In my spare time, I play golf, softball and I was a former pole vaulter on Emory University's track and field team.
