About Me

I grew up in Northern Virginia and attended college at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. After completing medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School, I returned to the Northeast for my pediatrics residency in Massachusetts. Since then, I’ve been practicing in Virginia. I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest after visiting family here. We vacationed here whenever we had a chance and are excited finally to call it home.

About my practice

As a pediatrician, I’ve worked in academic medicine and private practice, and part of my experience was with Mid-Atlantic Permanente in Virginia. I’ve found that Kaiser Permanente’s integrative practice of medicine helps patients thrive and fosters relationships between families and their doctors. I also love teaching — educating medical students and future medical providers is an essential part of what being a pediatrician means to me. It’s been my privilege to partner with parents in helping their children live healthy lives, from newborns in the nursery to adolescents and college kids.

How I thrive

For fun, I enjoy hiking with my dog and kayaking and, when it’s rainy outside, curling up with a good book and a cup of cocoa. My father is a librarian, and I grew up with a love of books, learning, and travel. Next up, I’m hoping to learn yoga and finally identify all those plants in the backyard!
